Enterprise Architect

An active Secret security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position, with the capability to be upgraded to Top Secret.

Point Solutions Group is actively seeking a proven expert and leader in the Department of Defense Enterprise Architecture field. As the subject matter expert, you will work alongside the client in addressing the toughest challenges related to EA for the Marine Corps including leading the charge on the next generation, service-wide network architecture. Your leadership will bring together the various entities working on EA products to provide the CIO a single vision of the future network architecture ensuring our warfighters have access to the information they need to support their missions.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to guide and oversee operations and ongoing transformation of related field and headquarters activities.
  • Experience supporting IT services, applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the IT Enterprise.
  • Experience providing high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff
  • Experience developing architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines
  • Possess expert knowledge required to advise client on feasibility of potential future projects
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience using in the Enterprise Architecture field, especially within the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and/or the Marine Corps.
  • Experience supporting Defense clients that include the military services and/or Defense Agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and/or the US Marine Corps.
  • Knowledge of the Marine Corps structure, operating concepts, and architecture.
  • Extensive experience in collecting users’ information needs and converting those to actionable steps.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and to collaborate with multiple stakeholders building relationships within the Government and across a contractor team.
  • Excellent management skills including business process and people management, process mapping and team building.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical subjects, via listening, negotiating, marketing and consulting, with senior Military and Government leadership.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Possess exceptional facilitation and organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, and knowledge management tools such as portals, intranets, and databases.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field.
  • Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced/Graduate Degree in a technical field.
  • Certified DoDAF professional
  • Current DoD IAM II certification
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Travel Requirement: Travel to U.S. Marine Corps and other military installations within the United States and overseas be may required.
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Candidates must have a minimum Secret clearance to be considered for this position.
  • Technically minded (BS + 10 years required or MS +6 years preferred)
  • Knowledgeable in IM/KM field; Current industry best practices and taxonomies; Current DoD/DoN policy; Current toolsets; Innovative approaches to IM/KM
  • Understands how the Marine Corps organizes, procures solutions, deploys, and uses data/information/knowledge.
  • Ability to translate user needs and requirements to business-processes.
  • Ability to translate business processes to materiel solutions including portals, intranets, databases, etc.
  • Ability to formulate strategy and policy based on requirements gathered from stakeholders and users across the enterprise.
  • Ability to present technical topics to senior Military and Government Leadership.
